Yesterday, December 22nd, was my sister's birthday.
We surprised her with not just 17 balloons, but a sea of lots and lots of colorful balloons flooding the hallways for her to wake up to.
For her birthday breakfast, my brother treated to Subway. It sounds a little unusal, I know, but it's an inside joke between the three of us siblings and it was a really great start to the day. We also spent the morning jamming to the This is Justin Bieber holiday special on TV. I love my sister and the ridiculous memories we make together.
In the afternoon, we picked up her friend and spent the rainy day shopping, laughing, and enjoying yummy drinks at the bookstore.
The remainder of the evening was spent opening presents...
And playing around with new birthday gifts. She was excited. :)

The final end to the day was eating mint chocolate chip ice cream {her favorite} and coconut cream pie. It was yummy.

It was so fun to celebrate such a special person in my life. I love my sister more than anything and honestly, I don't know what I'd do without her. She's more than just my sister, she's my best friend.
As cheesy as it sounds, it's the honest truth. No one understands me like my sister does.
Even though we look nothing alike, we have a unique bond that makes us inseparable. She's the one person I can always rely on for anything.
She's crazy beautiful. She's incredibly smart. She's ridiculously photogenic. She has a huge heart. She's super talented. She's the best. I am so blessed to have such an amazing, godly person in my life to look up to. To laugh with. To talk to.We have so many memories together and I am just so thankful for her. God has great plans in store for her and I can't wait to see them unfold in the next few years.
I love you so, so, SO much Maddie. {even more than you love biggest loser.)
Happy birthday to my favorite 17 year old.
xoxo,
delaney
