thanksgiving

Happy late Thanksgiving! Hope your day was filled with lots of yummy food and even more fun and family! My thanksgiving was great and I was definitely thankful to have a week off from school. I spent mine at my grandma's house with my dad's family up north {hi gram!}.
It was a loooong car ride to my grandma's house. 14ish hours both ways, equalling nearly 30 hours in the car combined. I am beyond grateful for modern technology and pillows. I literally slept, ate, talked, and listened to music the entire time. Both ways. It's funny because I had actually packed a bunch of things to do - like magazines, pens, paper, books, etc. and I ended up using none of them.
The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to a little village in the area with little shops and things to spend the day. It's the only time I took pictures the entire trip {oops.}, but it was really the first time I've used my camera outside the perimeters of my house and in lots of different lighting, so it was an exciting day for me to play around with my camera and figure out how to use the different settings. I'm seriously in love with it.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, I'm so beyond excited for the Christmas season. I've already downloaded all my Christmas music, the lights have been strung, and the ornaments are displayed on the tree, bringing back memories of past Christmas's every time I walk by. I can't wait to see the lights out the car window and start making yummy holiday treats. The Christmas season is my favorite - everything is just so magical and memorable.
Yes. Yes it is.

And now, I'm off to school again. Although I'm not super excited to get back to the homework, the fact that Christmas is coming soon and I can do my math while sipping gingerbread tea makes it all a little better.
have a beautiful day, friends!
xoxo, delaney

  10. LOVE all of these. the photos were amazing, Delaney! wow. I actually own the digital camera you had, but I'm getting a dslr in February, and just found that out. :)
The bokeh was amazing! I do the same thing; pack stuff to do in the car and never end up doing it! I eat, sleep, listen to music and drama, and take pictures of everything.
